I had some interesting Job changes with Twists and Turns…
I Joined T. Rowe Price as a Database Lead and then got an opportunity to work for Microsoft as a Sr. Database Systems Analyst (Which means Sr. DBA).
So I have been occupied with all such change’s and life has been demanding with these new assignments.
Ok Hold it. I know there is no difference between to 2 references, but when it comes to job sites, i was doing some research on several known sites including indeed.com and simplyhired.com.
When you search for job category with keywords as “SQL Server DBA” and “SQL Server database administrator” it will produce diff results.
so the DBA who are applying for jobs have to take note of this and search on both of these referenced keywords or loose on some excellent opportunities.
Again if you are being S.M.A.R.T. user and search only for “SQL Server”, and leave everything else to mother nature, you will get tens of hundreds of jobs and will have to screen through every job heading, which should take you approx million years and after 30 mins, you will be bored out of the job search and “again loose on some excellent opportunities”
Do not rely on single jobs sites to provide you all the Health benefits, use all the available site to screen for jobs.
Well Happy job hunting!! and take your resume seriously as it is the first step in presenting you to the recruiter. I have been working with a couple of recruiters acting as a technical screener for Oracle and SQL Server Positions and have seen the resumes being screen for neatness and keywords or being pushed away.
Well happy job hunting again!!!
